Bigger Bird first redesigned the Honolulu Symphony's site in 2005, but by 2008 it was time for something new. Our designers faced the same challenges as before: to create a look that reflected the elegance and timelessness of the Symphony and its music, and to organize the vast amount of content into an intuitive, easy-to-navigate site structure.
Our designers came through with a bold, clean and modern design and a simple, uncluttered navigation system.
The underpinnings of the site also got an upgrade thanks to Bigger Bird's software development team. Previously, the site was updated by hand each week to reflect the most current upcoming show information. The site still changes weekly, but now our Imagine Content Creation System (our take on the CMS) handles the timing, automatically introducing and expiring content like clockwork.
